SEBI

The Securities and Exchange Board of India — the statutory regulator for India's securities markets. SEBI registers and supervises exchanges, brokers, mutual funds and investment advisers, frames the rules they must follow, and acts against fraud and market manipulation.

Example

SEBI's mandate that mutual funds label schemes by risk level is why every fund factsheet now carries a riskometer.
