Sensex

The S&P BSE Sensex is the benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), comprising 30 of the largest and most actively traded stocks. India's oldest stock index, created in 1986.

Example

The Sensex crossed 80,000 in July 2024, having been at ~1,000 in 1992 — a 80x return over 32 years.
